Who do I contact to reserve a City facility, sports field or park shelter?

The City of Gardena has a wide variety of recreational facilities available to rent. For example, if you are interested in reserving a picnic shelter, sports field, baseball diamond, classroom, auditorium, gymnasium, or tennis court you will need to complete a registration form and pay a fee. Reservation forms generally take about two weeks to process. Priority for reservations will be given to Gardena residents. Non-residents may submit an application for a reservation up to one month in advance of their reservation date.

A number of activities and equipment are prohibited in City facilities and parks. For example: smoking, drinking, animals, open fires, stoves, and rental play apparatus such as moon bounces, astro jumps, etc. are not allowed. In addition, the City will not rent the auditorium located in Nakaoka Community Center for private parties, such as birthday’s, wedding receptions, baby showers or dances.

If you are interested in making a reservation for a picnic shelter, sports field, baseball diamond, or classroom, please contact the recreational facility of your choice directly.

To reserve an auditorium, please contact either Nakaoka Community Center or Rowley Park. For gymnasium reservations, please contact Rush Gymnasium or Rowley Park. To reserve a tennis court, please contact Rowley or Arthur Lee Johnson Memorial Park.
