Does Gardena have an Economic Development Program?

The Economic Development Office is located in the Community Development Office. This office has the responsibility to provide a wide range of services including: business assistance, demographic information, housing information, business revitalization, business plans, business workshops and outreach. Additionally, Economic Development manages a number of commercial and industrial rebate programs as well as the Rosecrans Corridor Commercial Rebate Program.

The City of Gardena Office of Economic Development is focused on promoting and stimulating economic development within the City to increase the quality of life for all persons, attract new businesses that will provide service to its residents, increase the City’s tax base, stimulate job creation, and expand existing businesses.

The City of Gardena Economic Development Office provides general demographic characteristics and other marketing data for developers, and existing, new or prospective businesses. The City also offers assistance in relocation and expansion of existing businesses.

The City of Gardena serves as a premiere business location offering a full range of amenities and support services required by industries of all kinds. Economic Development partners with the Gardena One Stop Employment and Training Center to provide qualified employees to employers.
