How do I get a City issued work permit?

If you are applying for a job with a card club, taxicab company, massage establishment or adult entertainment establishment located in the City of Gardena, you will need a City issued work permit. First complete a work permit application and then schedule an appointment with the Gardena Police Department Records Bureau to be processed for fingerprinting and a background check. Please bring a completed application with you at the time of your scheduled appointment. You will be charged a fee, which partially covers the cost of processing your application. If you are renewing your work permit, no appointment is required. Simply go to the Gardena Police Department, complete a supplemental form, and pay a processing fee. Appointments are scheduled only on certain days and times.
