If you are interested in registering for a class, you have two options: 1) mail the completed registration form and fee to the Recreation Division or 2) register and pay the fees in person. Classes generally run for a period of six weeks. Registration is accepted beginning two weeks prior to the start date for the next six weeks class session. No registration will be accepted after the second class meeting date. The registration and liability form is available on the City’s website. The Recreation Division is located in the Nakaoka Community Center, 1670 West 162nd Street, Gardena, California 90247. For a current list of classes and session start dates or additional information, staff is available to provide assistance at (310) 217-9537. The Community Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and weekend hours vary according to the schedule of events.
