The mission of the Friends & Foundation of the Camas Library (FFCL) is to build and enhance a partnership between the Camas Public Library and the community in order to promote literacy and quality library services and programs.
As a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, FFCL volunteers work with library employees in a variety of ways to provide quality library events and excellent collections.
These efforts include audiobook subscriptions, sponsoring author visits, and supporting the summer reading programs. In addition, they supply books for two adult and two young people’s book discussion groups, fund the monthly Craft-O-Rama program, and sponsor the very successful library sleepovers and Dr. Seuss birthday party. The Garden Room of the library was created thanks to these volunteers.
To support these important efforts and more, FFCL holds fund raising activities throughout the year. The most prominent are the used book sales.
The Friends & Foundation also accepts memorial or commemorative donations for the library.
All of these efforts are done by volunteers. If you would like to be involved in any way contact the library.
Your tax deductible donations to the Friends & Foundation allow them to continue to advocate for the library, as well as underwrite special library programs for children, teens and adults.
