Rules and Requirements for Special Events

Individuals or organizations wishing to hold an event on a public street or on City property, with an attendance in excess of 50 people are required to obtain a special event permit. The application process helps to address potential traffic congestion, impact on City services, and safety issues for large events or events occurring in the right-of-way. If your event is on private property, closed to the public, and has less than 500 people expected; or is a funeral or wedding procession, then no permit is required.If you are unsure whether your event meets the criteria for a special event permit, please contact the Event Permit Coordinator at 360.834.5307 Ext. #2 to inquire further.Camas Municipal Code 5.20
