No person shall carry on or about their person any handgun or firearm unless they are in compliance with all State statutes and requirements. Persons who carry concealed firearms shall comply with the Illinois Firearm Concealed Carry Act, 430 ILCS 66/ et seq., as amended, and possess a current and valid firearm owner's identification card issued by the State of Illinois.
